The island of Java in Indonesia houses one of the most stunning and beautiful temples of the world: the Borobudur. I tried hard to get the best out of it, but waking up at 3 AM in the morning for a sun rise wasn't good enough.... It rained... Near the Borobudur there is another beautiful temple area called Prambanan. Unfortunately, this site suffered from a big earthquake in 2006. Most of it is still in tact, but access is limited. Another interesting part of Java are the different colonial sites that my fellow country men left on the island when the Indonesians took over from us what actually belongs to them... |
